Since it is Sunday, our radio is tuned to my parents' favorite radio station. And yes, all we hear all day is old songs. And contrary to everybody's beliefs, I don't hate old songs. Actually, I like them. Hehehe..
What I really like about old songs are their lyrics. They have this straight-to-the-point lyrics yet not so blunt (unlike rap songs we hear nowadays. blunt. That's what they are.) Old songs are simple but effective.
You know the song "The One You Love"? Well, maybe all of us know that song but not aware of the title. It is the song we hum when we mean "sensual". The "ta-nan-tan-tan-taaan..tan-tan-tan" song.. (Picture of macho dancers here.) Got it? Anyway, because we usually don't hear the lyrics, just the tune, we never realize it has this ultimate dilemma as its main idea.
Its lyrics say, "Are you gonna stay with the one who loves you, or are you going back to the one you love?"
The ultimate dilemma that many a movies has taken for its major plot.
Amazing, right? Who would have thought that such song has those lyrics.
Listening to old songs whole day made me realize a lot of things. Some old songs really never grow old. How I feel right now, no other modern song can describe but a lot of old ones can.
And when I say back to basics, not only with music but with everything else. I realize, one of the reasons we get ourselves in complicated situations is that we forgot to always stick with basics first. One cannot fly unless there's a ground on which he can step on and support him, a ground that would boost him up the air.
We already have a feasib topic! wuhoo! Being an intern in Citi really has its perks right? If not for Citi, I won't be able to know such business exists. Hehehe! I am excited since it is the one I really really want. Hehehe.. :)
Feasib friends, we can do it!
