So how's my first week with HSBC? Let us see..
There are lots of things I never thought I would do when I start working. The list will be as long as hell but then I have to list the things that really hit me on my face:
1. That I have to wake up EVERYDAY at 5am to go to work. Call time? 8.30 but I arrive at 7:30 (so new, no? For people who know me, you know I am a late-comer. New life for me?). It is because I come with my Dad to Manila instead of commuting. His call time? 8am at HPN in Roxas Blvd. So for him not to be late I have to be dropped off earlier than 8am. Get it? But it's fine with me. No transpo cost, no traffic, no pollution and I get to sleep inside the car!
2. That I have to study. Yes. Before I sleep I have to read everything we discussed earlier that day. Because...
3. I have to take exams and pass everything! The passing grade? 85 percent!!!
4. That I have to take 3 exams in a day! 2 of those are surprise exams! No time to review everything!
5. That I have to go back to being high school. And what exactly am I talking about? Act in role playing/skits! Really!
6. That I have to be conscious of my attire every single day. Back in high school, we have uniforms. I got no problems. In UP, everything you wear is A-okay. Now, I have to look good. Not your usual corpo attire. Power-dressing is a must. We don't dress down. No flat shoes for me. Wearing heeled-shoes? A must. We must look formal but fashionable. Actually, I am veeeeeery fine with that. I like clothes. Just that, sometime, I am pressured to look good. Haha.
This list only accounts only my first week. I am excited (and anxious) how my next weeks would turn out. This coming Monday, we have a revalida. We have to apply what we learned. And when I say revalida, I am not talking about your usual powerpoint presentation. On the spot, role-playing. So I won't know what exactly we are to do but apply what we have learned. Oh boy.
Wish me and my curly hair luck! :)
