Regada 2006

If there's a day when everyone has an excuse to show up wet in a meeting or to throw a pail of water (not just any water but any kind of water, ice cold, red, blue, soapy, with beer or soda) at anyone even those they don't know, it is on San Juan Bautista Feast or Regada in Cavite City.

Regada is not a new thing for me, considering I'm from Cavite City, and Jay (he lives in Binakayan). But for Virge, Abby (well, most things are new to her.wahaha!peace Abby!), Alpha (just like Abby..hehehe) and Kuya, who are all ignorant on the said festival. Wahahaha (Guys, sorry for the bashing theme of my entry.hehe). So I invited them to come yesterday.

Well, they decided to have an overnight in our house. Good thing that I have the whole house to myself, too. We watched DVDs and had pillow fights. I bearly had sleep. Virge, Abby, Jay and I decided to sleep when we saw tinge orange lining, or what we usually know as the sunshine (yihee!), up there in the sky, which what has been midnight blue. When we woke up, instead of going straight to Regada spot (which is in the market place), we played Playstation. They saw the Marvel vs. Capcom CD of my brothers and decided to play that. And well, I managed to win over all of them i think twice. Straight. If not for the mistake of choosing Ryu as my partner hero, instead of Cyclops, Jay would not manage to beat me. And it was unintentional. I have a winning duo from the start. Jin with Cyclops. Darn.

Anyways, at around 10 we decided to stop playing and hit the streets to Regada. But before we even go out of our gate, we were all wet. We were supposed to prepare ammos (water in ice water plastics. so hightech!lol.) but as expected, they started throwing water at each other. I, myself, was guilty. hehe.

As I said earlier, Regada is the perfect excuse for people to get wet and to wet other people. You have the perfect excuse to be unruly and obnoxious! Exciting! hehe. As I expected, Virge, Alpha, Kuya and most especially Abby (hehe) didn't expected people to act the way people acted. There were people throwing ice cold water and using water guns filled with soapy water. When we arrived at the market place, which was transformed into a big shower room (the main street in the market area was closed and sprinklers were set to wet people at the peak of the festival), there were lots of people. I couldn't figure out really why they were all wearing black though. We were walking through the crowded street in line, hands over the shoulders, just to get through. And there! Abby got the shock of her life! She was the first to be soaped by the crazy people. Literally soaped in her face. She shrieked and I thought she would cry. I bet she had never experienced such a thing before that! hehe. Well, I have a dozen of soaping in the face myself. And it was funny how I, Abby and Alpha (she didn't get much I think) reacted whenever we couldn't dodge those soap-filled hands. Abby shrieks everytime, I cuss at them (P.I. and H***p's) and Alpha I think just cut her eyes at them. Hehe. We were very protective of Abby most the time (maybe because we are afraid she might cry. hahaha!)

Well, after an hour or so, we decided we've had enough of the Regada proper. We went home and continued are own Regada Festival.

After we had lunch and change into dry clothes, Jay had to go since he had earlier commitment with his highschool classmates, the two guys started to practice their Playstation skills (since I am the champion of Marvel vs. Capcom and Abby is the champion of Streetfighter, the guys cannot just accept that girls can beat them in computer games!hahahahaha!) while the girls watched Little Manhattan. The guys managed to beat us (after an hour and half of practice. pfft. we beat you without it, guys!).

I dozed off a bit while they were playing computer again. And at around 5pm, I think, they set off back to Manila. After I close the gates for them, I went straight inside my grandmother's house (which is just 30 steps away from our house) and slept. It was tiring considering I barely had 2 hours of sleep. When I woke up at around 9pm and i stood up and continued sleeping inside the bed room. Hehe. The reason I wasn't able to reply to all those msgs. Gomen nasai!hehe.

Well, there. After weeks of having nothing to write about, I think this is a good thing to write about. hehe.

By the way, I know Abby and the others are curious why Jun wasn't able to come. You will know the reason next time we get together, ok? :)

Can't wait for 20 Questions! Somebody managed to get away with the grilling kasi e!hehe.
