When everything went black.

I know, i know. This entry is so long overdue. But what can I do when Meralco decided to turn the lights off in my life (hala! drama?). Last Wednesday, as in Sept. 27, while the rest of the UP students are having a good time with the announcement of "No Classes", I definitely was not. I even screamed, "No!" when my housemates and I confirmed that there will be no classes the day after. I have to be in school because of the following reasons: I had to interview people for my market research paper, there would be a launch of Jac Mago's pakulo and well, my love life was at stake (argh. thinking how the suspension ruined it for me, I feel really sad. haha). Anyways, there. I had no choice but to accept the fact that I just can't make them take back the announcement. And I said to myself, "I bet, there will be no rain or strong winds tomorrow just like every time they suspend calsses." I even planned to interview some of my friends in their dorm the next day. But fate played a trick on me that I had to eat my words.

Golly, by morning, the lights are all out! There were continuous rain and strong wind! We can't even get out to buy food. I called every possible delivery hotline but no one is delivering because of Milenyo. Good thing that I bought Dunkin Donuts on my way home the night before that and I managed to have a decent breakfast. But because of the rain, I was stuck in the house with no lunch! I had to wait until the rain subsides for a bit, which is around 2pm, and I ran down to the only sari-sari store open. The only thing that would pass as meal (if you call that meal) were pancit cantons and noodles. There were no mineral water for sale that I had no choice but to buy 1.5 Coke for a day's supply of fluids. Great. Healthy no? haha.

That was the first time I experienced such day because of typhoon in Quezon City. Away from my family which I realized was difficult. I had to think of what to do for survival or whatever. haha. So there, with no lights, I was not able to review for an upcoming exam. So, from 2pm until 12 midnight, my housemates and I were just playing cards and other kiddie gtames. haha!

It was fun after all but still (!) it can't compensate to what the typhoon did to ruin my life! haha! And well, the typhoon also ruined so many lives, far worse than how typhoon messed up my entire week and well, the week after that. Argh.

So much for ranting.
